Post Board Candidate: George Kollitides
Excerpt from Topic: "We're not the first to do this..."

George Kollitides, an executive from the group that owns stakes in Remington DPMS, Bushmaster who knows what else, is running a campaign that looks like a small Congressional campaign. He has a web site, http://www.gkollitides4nraboard.com/ but it strangely lacks any kind of feedback mechanism.

What do you know of him?

Post Re: Board Candidate: George Kollitides
I just posted a note over at the EOTAC forum where formerly famous gun writer and old friend Dean Speir holds court.

Interestingly, the EOTAC forum carries ads for George Kollitides. It's not terribly surprising, you'll see the ads on the Remington, DPMS, Harrington and Richardson, Marlin, and of course on EOTAC sites. What those companies have in common is that they are owned either fully or in part (I haven't dug any deeper than a few web searches) by Cerberus Capital Management of which Mr. Kollitides is a major player.

As I posted over in the Eotac forum, I'm curious what Mr. Kollitides' goals are. I suspect he's a shoo-in and it's certainly possible for a guy of his stature in the industry to just want to do the right thing. A very positive thing about his candidacy is that as a Director on several corporate boards, he's familiar with the concept of fiduciary responsibility. Such knowledge has historically been in short supply on the NRA board.

I frankly don't expect him to show up here and tell us, but I enjoy surprises.
